Our Accredited Workplace Training Providers:

Duration of Accreditation
SAIT must ensure that the SAIT qualifications and designations maintains its status
and credibility not only in South Africa, but also internationally. In line with this, SAIT
has the power (in its absolute discretion) to
- Accredit or refuse to accredit a Workplace Provider;
- Monitor Workplace Providers to ensure their continuous compliance with the
accreditation requirements; - Register; cancel; defer and extend a learnership contract; and
- Refuse to register or order the cancellation of a learnership contract of a trainee
who is disqualified for registration of one of the SAIT designations.
SAIT is responsible for the approval and accreditation of employers that provide the
workplace experience components to our designations.

Accredited Universities
RSAIT actively engages with universities to ensure their academic programmes are
aligned with the practical needs of the tax profession. SAIT uses a curriculum
mapping approach to determine university accreditation.
Our accreditation process involves evaluating the university’s curriculum against
SAIT’s prescribed curriculum, which has been developed in close collaboration with
employers to reflect the real-world competencies and skills expected from tax
graduates. This ensures that graduates from accredited institutions are well-prepared
to meet industry demands and can transition smoothly into the workplace.
Universities whose tax-related content meets our minimum standards are formally
approved or accredited by SAIT. This alignment creates a clear and quality-assured
pathway for students to enter the SAIT professional route.

process, please contact education@thesait.org.za.
